Engagement Manager, Veeva Migrations
Leads Veeva work for our pharma clients, from migrations to Vault CRM to managed services for Veeva CRM and Vault after go-live.
Craftware is a Salesforce Summit Partner and a Certified Veeva Services Partner (Commercial Cloud) working on commercial CRM, omnichannel HCP engagement and customer data for pharma and biotech companies. We have worked with Life Sciences companies for more than 15 years.
Veeva CRM on the Salesforce platform reaches end of support at the end of December 2029. Every company running it will move to Vault CRM, to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or to a combination of both. The platform choice gets most of the attention, yet most of the risk sits around it: integrations, data ownership and the custom code built up since the first rollout. Companies that map those first decide faster and with fewer surprises.
Most pharma companies already reach doctors through reps, email, webinars and portals. The harder part is deciding which message goes through which channel, with approved content, and knowing what the HCP has already seen. That depends on shared customer data and on clear rules between brand, medical and field teams.
Agentforce in Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and the AI features in Vault CRM will be judged by what they can read. If call history, consent status and account data sit in three systems with three definitions, an AI assistant gives the rep a confident wrong answer. Fixing that is less visible than a pilot, and it decides whether the pilot ever scales.
European pharma companies run one CRM across markets with different rules, languages and ways of working. A shared core with a controlled way to handle local needs keeps the platform manageable. The level of control should match the process risk. Changes to how consent is captured need evidence and traceability, while a new report for one market shouldn’t require the same sign-off.
Under GDPR, every new channel adds another place where consent can be recorded wrongly or not at all. When consent lives in CRM, marketing automation and local tools at the same time, teams either hold back outreach or take risks they cannot see. A single consent model shared across CRM and marketing tools enables omnichannel scale.
Most partners in Life Sciences commercial work mainly with one of the two vendors. We are a Salesforce Summit Partner and a Certified Veeva Services Partner, so our recommendations follow your processes, data, and markets rather than the platform we happen to implement.
Summit Partner · since 2014
Implementation, integration, global rollouts and managed services for commercial and medical teams.
Certified Services Partner
Migrations to Vault CRM, configuration, territory management, managed services and user adoption.
Running both platforms for a while? For example Vault CRM for the field force and Salesforce for marketing or patient services. We define a clear role for each platform and manage the dependencies between them.
How they work today, and what must keep running during the move.
Everything that depends on the current CRM.
Including custom code you can retire.
Which platform can support them with the data you have.
Audit trail and validation requirements in your markets.
Which markets move first, and which local processes the new setup must support.
We map your systems, processes, data flows and dependencies, and show where work slows down and where risk is building up. Most clients start with the Commercial CRM Health Check: three to four weeks, ending with a maturity assessment, a view on platform fit and a prioritized list of changes.
We agree priorities, the role of each platform and the target architecture, define who decides what, and turn it into a roadmap with costs and sequencing across markets.
Implementation, integration, migration and rollout across markets, on Salesforce, on Veeva or on both.
Managed services, release management and adoption support after go-live, so new requests from the business keep moving after the project team has left.
Life Sciences Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Agentforce for commercial and medical teams, from first rollout to managed services.
Vault CRM, Veeva CRM and PromoMats: migration, configuration, managed services and day-to-day administration.
Channel planning, approved content and customer data brought together so field and digital teams work from the same picture of each HCP.
One consent model across CRM and marketing tools, built for GDPR and for audits.
A global pharmaceutical company runs its Salesforce-based CRM for about 5,500 users across Europe and EEMEA. Under a managed service Craftware has run for four years, monthly incidents fell from 44 to 25.
A top-20 pharmaceutical company active in more than 80 countries wanted local teams to run their own HCP campaigns. Craftware designed a self-service campaign operations model that increased team autonomy while maintaining governance. Through structured training, playbooks and ongoing support, the client strengthened internal capabilities and improved key Marketing Cloud skills across teams.
By the end of 2029, the current Veeva CRM built on the Salesforce platform will reach its end of life. This change impacts virtually all life sciences organizations that rely on Veeva CRM for managing their commercial operations. To stay ahead of the transition, our client decided to become one of the first global adopters of Veeva Vault CRM, the next-generation CRM platform natively built on Veeva Vault.
Our Life Sciences CRM projects are led by consultants who have worked with pharma and biotech teams for years. These are some of the people you are likely to meet early in a project.

Veeva CRM running on the Salesforce platform reaches end of support at the end of December 2029, after Veeva and Salesforce ended their partnership. Companies using it need to move to Veeva’s Vault CRM, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or a combination of both. The move covers data, integrations, approved content and processes, so most organizations plan it well before the deadline.
No single answer fits every company. The choice depends on how your field and medical teams work, which systems integrate with your current CRM, total cost over several years, your AI plans, and the consent and validation rules in your markets. Craftware partners with both Salesforce and Veeva, so we compare options against these criteria instead of recommending one platform by default.
Yes. Some Life Sciences companies use Vault CRM for field teams and Salesforce for marketing, medical or patient services. This works when each platform has a clearly defined role, customer data has one owner, and the integrations between systems are intentional. Without that, teams end up maintaining two versions of the same HCP record.
Craftware helps pharma and biotech companies select, implement, and run commercial platforms: CRM, marketing automation, omnichannel HCP engagement, and consent management. We have been a Salesforce partner since 2014, today at Summit level, and are a Certified Veeva Services Partner (Commercial Cloud). Our work ranges from platform assessments and Vault CRM migrations to managed services for CRM environments used in 90 countries.
Most projects start with a short diagnosis. In the Commercial CRM Health Check, which takes three to four weeks, we review your current platforms, data flows and dependencies, and deliver a maturity assessment, a view on platform fit and a prioritized list of changes. Clients with a defined scope can start directly with implementation, migration or managed services.
