An existing UiPath client engaged with us for a test architecture assessment resulting in a proof-of-concept for the use of UiPath Test Suite. This later resulted in a significant reduction in regression testing time from 2 weeks to 3 days. This overhaul streamlined testing processes and improved key metrics, such as significantly reducing lead time and reducing Total test design time, Total test execution time, Total default resolution time, and the number of defects found after delivery.

The client’s regression testing process was lengthy, spanning 2 weeks, and was prone to increasing errors with each release.
Contributing factors included a lack of risk-based testing prioritization, unorganized test scenarios without established priority, or criticality, an overwhelming number of test scenarios in the queue, challenges in verifying bug priorities, and a disconnect between test scenarios and user stories.
We initiated the project by thoroughly analyzing the client’s existing testing processes, identifying critical areas for optimization, and benchmarking them against industry standards.
We leveraged the BPMN framework during our discovery phase to pinpoint architectural and organizational inefficiencies. Our solution involved a complete overhaul of the client’s test automation framework using the UiPath Test Suite, which was tailored specifically to address the identified pain points.

By collaborating closely with the client, we have further utilized their knowledge of the UiPath platform by modernizing their software testing architecture, signigicantly reducing lead time and enhancing overall testing efficiency. This value-driven approach not only reduced regression testing time but also improved several other key performance indicators, such as the time required for test design, execution, and defect resolution. Post-delivery defects decreased significantly, creating a more reliable and efficient release process.
